CS Conor Kelleher joined the Irish Army Apprentice School (AAS) in 1988. He successfully completed 3 years training as a Radio & Telecommunication Technician in the AAS and a further year training in the School of Signals. He was posted to the 2nd Field Signals Coy in Dublin as a Signalman Radio Technician as part of the Second Infantry Brigade which also included duties along the border with Northern Ireland. He has completed a total of 13 overseas missions, in a variety of appointments ,including 6 times in South Lebanon with UNIFIL, in Kosovo with KFOR, in Eritrea with UNMEE, in Liberia with UNMIL, in TCHAD with EUFOR , Afghanistan with ISAF and finally with EUTM Mali as part of the UK & Irish Training Team. He was posted to the 1st Field Signals Coy in Cork in 1996. CS Kelleher was promoted Cpl in 2000, Sgt in 2005 and CS in 2015. CS Kelleher completed the C-IED Instructors course in 2013 and he has instructed on a number of C-IED courses both at home and abroad.
