Roman Tursic, Head of Libya and Afghanistan Implementation Offices, ITF
|Roman Turšič started his career as an active duty officer at the Former Yugoslav Army School Center (the Maršal Tito Barracks) in Sarajevo. After an eight year interlude at a private detective agency and credit report company, Intercredit, Mr. Turšič joined ITF in 2000 as the program manager for Croatia. His main duty was to oversee donor funds distribution through tendering procedures in close cooperation with the Croatian Mine Action Center.
He continued overseeing fund distribution as the head of the ITF Implementation Office in Sarajevo from 2003-2011, combining this task with fund raising for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Shortly after, he acted as the program manager for Albania, Kosovo and Serbia, again overseeing donor funds distribution, particularly for the HMA and CWD programs.
Since 2014, Mr. Turšič is responsible for the implementation of a project in Libya and setting up a project in Afghanistan.
