Leslaw Górniak, received an M.Sc. Chem. degree from the Chemical Faculty at Warsaw University of Technology. He is currently employed as a key expert at the REACH and CLP Centre of the Industrial Chemistry Research Institute in Warsaw, Poland. In parallel he is a Training Director at International Centre for Chemical Safety and Security in Warsaw. Between 1997 and 2010 he held the position of a Chemical Weapons Inspector and then a consultant at Office of Special Projects at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. He specializes in issues related to chemical security and CBRN security, in particular in prevention of misuse of toxic and explosive industrial chemicals. He published several papers on security of chemical industry and chemical supply chain and edited “Chemical security trainer’s handbook”, a publication of Industrial Chemistry Research Institute. In the years 2013 to 2015 he coordinated two European projects related to CBRN security.
